The Turners Truck & Machinery Show, in association with National Road Carriers, will be back this year at Pukekohe Park Raceway on Sunday the 8th of December.
This annual show, which is fast becoming the must-see Truck & Machinery Show in Auckland, and the North Island not only caters to anyone with an interest in the industry but also for those who want to see a great display of shiny big rigs and machinery.
This year Paul "Sludge" Andrews and Glenn "Yogi" Kendall from Outback Truckers fame will be appearing at the show, sponsored by Easy Moves Ltd house movers.
The UDC Show & Shine has room for over 300 trucks (& trailers) on display – all polished & blinged-up! Every entry includes a donation to the local Pukekohe Volunteer Fire & Emergency Service. Don’t forget to put in your vote for People’s Choice that will be announced at the Prize Giving towards the end of the Show.
The MIMICO Excavator Competition will have keen operators from around the country showing off their skill and looking to take out the top spot - with the winner being flown to Christchurch to the TMC Trailers Trucking Industry Show where they will compete to win a tour of the Kobelco Factory in Japan.
The show will also feature a great range of trade exhibitors showing off their products & services.
The big rigs will be heading around the track for your enjoyment – a gold coin donation (also going to the Pukekohe Volunteer Fire & Emergency Service) will get you a lap of the track.
And don’t forget the NZ Super Trucks! Just $250 will get you a couple of laps around the track to experience the thrill of racing in a big rig. You can book in advance or on the day.
For the experienced (with the correct license) the TR Group Truck Reversing Competition will be back again this year. With $100 cash first prize for each competition, and some great sponsors merchandise. Alongside this will be the Truck Wheel Changing competition for anyone who wants to have a go - $100 cash first prize for this one too.
The bar is open from noon, with the food court nearby, and the kids rides just across on the grass.
Like last year, Robbie “Gooserooter” Shefford is coming up from Geraldine and will be the MC at the event, and will be available if anyone wants to have a good yarn.
There is heaps to see and do for all ages, so come along and join us for a great day.
