“Love is like a child that longs for every thing that he can come by”

Auckland’s smash-hit sensation Pop-up Globe launches their first ever Winter Festival in their unique Shakespearean Playhouse.

Young actors bring a vibrant, fresh energy to the theatre, as they did 400 years ago, and continue to do today. Harnessing that raw power of youth, the Pop-up Globe Youth Theatre Company brings you Shakespeare's The Two Gentlemen of Verona as their exciting debut production this winter, directed by Rita Stone.

Considered likely to be the first comedy Shakespeare wrote, Two Gentlemen is the perfect vehicle for young actors to explore. Following the adventures of Valentine and Proteus, best buddies, who have their loyal friendship put to the test when Proteus falls in love with his best friend's girl. Featuring a cross-dressing heroine, a gang of outlaws and a 'bit with a dog', Two Gentlemen is sure to delight audiences young and old this winter.
