The Unholy Trinity Exhibition, brings together the works of three individual textile and fibre artists with over 20 years of friendship and collaboration, culminating in an exquisite collection of opulent objects, not to be missed.
Featuring original gowns and tailoring by Hand Sewn, anti fashion famed David Roil (Ngati Porou, Te Atiawa). David's designs, having recently featured on the runways of Te Papa’s Adara Investments and 2015/2017 Melbourne Fashion week.
David will be displaying his latest collection alongside, Black wedding’s elegant alternative, up-cycled garments and oddities crafted by Charmagne Anthony. And lastly, but by no means lest, Native Sista’s, infamous Suzanne Tamaki (Maniapoto, Tuhoe, Te Arawa) creations, including body adornments, costumes and jewellery inspired by legend and Myth as well as traditional Maori and indigenous costuming throughout the World.
Opening on the 23rd and running through until the 31st of August at The Potoki Paterson Gallery. This multifaceted exhibition of three unique and expressive artists is sure to have many a temptation to delight and entice all!
