The core components of a therapeutic practice distilled into a series of workshops that outline the structure and function of the major joints as well as the network of connective tissue, or fascia, that supports and coordinates them. You will leave with an arsenal of information to instantly incorporate into your practice and teaching.
Each workshop begins with a short lecture on an anatomical area - Shoulders Hips, Spine and Myofascial Release - then moves on to explore its therapeutic application through practice to bring the information to life. Each workshop includes a handout you can take home to keep the information fresh in your memory, and is open to both the new and avid yoga practitioner.
We will cover topics that are hard to fit into group classes, but are crucial for yoga practitioners and teachers to understand in order to help prevent injuries and optimize the way we move. You will leave with an arsenal of information to instantly incorporate into your practice and teaching.
Teachers who complete the entire program and pass the online quiz receive 12 hrs CPD with Yoga Alliance and 12 hours CEU credit towards the Yoga Medicine 500hr program.
