From 5pm: Galleries open, Radio Active DJ B.Lo plays, our bar is open and Mao & Co will be serving dumplings and noodles from their caravan.

6pm: Curators James Parker (Melbourne Law School) and Joel Stern (Liquid Architecture) present their Keynote Lecture: Eavesdropping: On the politics of listening and being listened to. They share insights on the research that led to the Eavesdropping project, how the exhibition was conceived, and the many artists, musicians, sound technicians, performers and speakers that have come together to contribute to this investigation of the politics of listening and being listened to.

7.30pm: Eavesdropping artists’ films. Curators James Parker and Joel Stern introduce a programme of two short films by artists: Turner Prize Nominee Lawrence Abu Hamdan’s Walled Unwalled (20 mins) and a short from Samson Young.

James and Joel are in Wellington as part of Te Whare Hēra Eavesdropping Residency.
