Brain Play

Digital technology is an important part of New Zealand’s curriculum. Most children by the age of ten already have an understanding of how to use technologies such as smartphones or computers, but don’t necessarily understand how it all works.

This course is aiming to bridge the gap between the background logics and foreground technology to let learners succeed in computer science and STEM education.

During this course students will learn about the history of computers, and explore each individual component and their role inside the computer.

We'll completely pull apart the inside of computers, to identify these key pieces of hardware. We'll also attempt to put the computers back together toward the end of the day!

This course will be held at our Upper Harbour Primary School location, on Saturday 23rd February, from 9:00am - 3:00pm.

Ages 8 - 12, of any experience welcome.
Fee covers use of all equipment.

Morning tea and lunch required to be sent along, as well as a drink bottle.
