Join Wastebusters for a session on reducing waste coming into and out of your business. Gina Dempster, communications manager for Wastebusters, will talk about real recycling, why Wastebusters wants you to recycle less not more, product stewardship and identifying areas to target for waste reduction. Local business owners Nicola Cross from Honest Wholefood Co and Chrissie Lahood from Big Fig will share their experiences of cutting waste in their business; including communicating with supply chains, harnessing staff energy and reducing the packaging that their businesses send out into the world. The session will end with a panel discussion on supporting Wanaka businesses to move towards zero waste.

Transport to the event - If you can, come on your BIKE, take the BUS (or ferry), CARPOOL or WALK. We’d love to keep this event as low impact as possible!
Plant a tree - We have two off-set partners this year, the Wakatipu Reforestation Trust and Te Kakano Aotearoa Trust. Part of our profits will go to these two amazing organisations. If you want to help regenerate our incredible district, we’ve also set up a tree registry with TREES THAT COUNT. By donating to the registry, you’re putting more native trees into the ground, helping not only reduce our footprint but also providing habitat for our feathered neighbours.
Digital Ticket = Zero Waste - We love empty bins. That’s why we kindly ask you not to print your ticket. Please keep a digital copy in your phone, or take a photo of your computer receipt. That’s all we need to see to let you in!
