On 14 May Aviva are holding a screening of the recently released feature film Vai. Vai is a new film about female empowerment that spans the breadth of the Pacific telling the story of one woman’s life in eight separate moments from the perspective of eight different Pacific Island cultures.
‘Vai’ is a portmanteau feature film made by nine female Pacific filmmakers, filmed in seven Pacific countries: Fiji, Tonga, Solomon Islands, Kuki Airani (Cook Islands), Samoa, Niue and Aotearoa (New Zealand).
One of the actors - Evotia-Rose Araiti (Vai) - will join us for conversation with Daisy Speaks (Poet) after viewing this feature film.
This is a fundraising event for Aviva. Tickets are $30.00 and include a complementary drink and light nibbles, and there will be a silent auction on the night.
