Vintage Wairarapa Wedding Gowns 1921-1969

The Pointon Collection showcases gowns from local families. With a gown from 1923, the bride's photo & information plus a group of wedding guests in original clothing of the era, then similar displays for 1935, 1946 and 1950. Each gown is very different in style and fabric, typical of its decade and all are beautiful.

Gaye has also displayed her own family's wedding memorabilia from her grandmother, 1921, mother in law, 1939, mother, 1944 and her own from 1969.

You are invited to view these gowns over the next 3 months. Come and take a nostalgic tour through the Collection - both the original clothing and of course the vintage cars and automobilia.

The Pointon Collection is open most days 10am to 4pm - ring Gaye on 06 3786710 to check. Groups are welcome by appointment. Charges do apply - no eftpos.
