Waipawa Spring Festival Duck Day

A great family day out, with market stalls, live music, entertainment and games - and the highly anticipated annual Duck Race - The only duck race in Hawke’s Bay!

Waipawa comes alive with market stalls and entertainment under the Spring cherry blossom. Bring the whole family for some fun, delicious food and entertainment with stalls and games and watch the hilarious and highly competitive annual Duck Race.

Start your day off with market stalls, games and live music in Nelly Jull Park, as well as some great shopping along High Street in Waipawa, before the annual walk to the Waipawa River to position yourselves to watch the annual Duck Race from 1.30pm.

There will be two races again this year with the hotly contested Corporate Duck Race back again, followed by the much anticipated main event ‘the annual Waipawa Duck Race’.

Purchase your special duck ticket before the event or on the day, and then watch - hearts racing, as the numbered ducks make their way down the River.
Prizes for the first ducks home and there will be plenty of spot prizes on the day.

Get your business in behind the Corporate Race too, we're looking for more keen 'fancy dressed' ducks to hustle down the river in our Corporate Race.
