The Waitakere College Foundation is a Charitable Trust formed by community leaders and past pupils of the College to: “provide opportunities for our kids to succeed in education by reducing barriers”.
Donations and funds that the WCF receive throughout the year, go towards our goal of reducing barriers by making all areas of education accessible, and raising the self worth and morale, to as many Waitakere College students as we can (and some instances their family too). We provide chromebooks and uniforms, pay for school trips and projects and try to cover as many requests for financial assistance that we can. Our students success is our driving force.
Last year we held our Inaugural Annual Quiz & Fundraiser. It was really successful so we are doing it again this year, and we would love to top last year to be able to help even more students.
I have attached a flyer for our upcoming 2nd Annual Quiz Night. Please come along and can I also ask if you could pass it onto others to join in the fun! Entry is a mere $10 donation for a night of laughs, fun and good times.
We have a couple of past recipients of WCF coming along to the Quiz Night, to talk about how the WCF helped them, so you get a real feel for what your donation contributes to. The Waitakere College Foundation is still in its infancy, and while we are currently working hard to raise the profile of the WCF (with a very small team), to date we have been able to assist with many forms of assistance from camps to chromebooks and uniforms to scholarships.
