Welles Street Winter Fest

While it's tempting to spend the duration of winter inside, it's far more fun to head out into the world for a little food, shopping and good times. Welles Street is making the most of the single-digit temperatures with Apre Ski-style set-ups, hearty comfort food and plenty of mulled wine.

Friday 12th July - European Beer Tent Pop Up
Don't waste these next few months hiding inside – do winter well - which has now well and truly set in here in Christchurch, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t a lot happening.

Saturday 13th July - Winter Fest Party with Jed Parsons live
This after-dark event wraps up the evening fun for the week which has been celebrating the undeniable fact: winter is here. But its not all gloomy skies and rainy days – local singer and song writer Jed Parsons brings his eclectic and soul warming tunes to the stage, donned in an ugly winter jumper – he will be picking the best from the crowd to win some awesome spot prizes including an Absolut snow board and ski passes to Mount Hutt!
