Westfield Manukau to Unveil Rerenga Mural

Westfield Manukau is preparing to unveil its beautiful 66 metre Rerenga Mural by renowned artists Charles and Janine Williams, this on Saturday, 9th March. The unveiling will include a traditional Maori ceremony with a mural blessing as well as the artists speaking about the story of the mural.

Westfield Manukau wanted to enhance the exterior community space and really bring it to life, and chose to work with this talented duo to do so.

Charles and Janine work and travel extensively throughout New Zealand and around the globe, creating visual stories that connect them to the land, stories and local people that they encounter along the way. Their work features modern interpretations of cultural design plus native/endemic birdlife, presenting it in an urban context.
