Whakaipo Bay Community Planting Day

Planting season has begun! Everyone is welcome and let's start the planting season off with a real special planting occasion.

Greening Taupo is with Matariki Tu Rākau; seeing communities across the country planting trees to create living memorials to our service personnel of the past and present. mpi.govt.nz/matariki-tu-rakau

Bring your gumboots, garden gloves, personal spade optional as there will be some holes dug. Bring suitable wet weather gear if required we will planting in rain or shine.

The cadets will be there providing the sausage sizzle afterwards for all planters.

Join us from 10am at Whakaipo Bay along the lake front, at the end of the road to the right of the bay. Parking is at the shelter at the beginning of the W2K bike track.

Less than 15 minutes from Taupo off Mapara Road Look for the Greening Taupo signs.
