Whakaipo Bay Community Planting Day

Come along and join in the tradition of planting at the beautiful Whakaipo Bay.

The Girl Guides have been doing it for 30 years and they will be there to celebrate, everyone is welcome!

Planting and parking is close to the shelter at the beginning of the W2K bike track near the lakefront.
Look out for the Greening Taupo signs.

Greening Taupō has secured funding from the Waikato Catchment Ecological Enhancement Trust (WCEET) to continue with the restoration of this amazing reserve. So come along and join Greening Taupō, the Girl Guides, NZMCA and everyone else that wants to help make a difference.

Please be prepared for either rain or shine, bring a spade, your gumboots, gardening gloves and enjoy a grand morning out at one of Taupō’s jewels – Whakaipo Bay. The Girl Guides will provide refreshments and a sausage sizzle after the planting at the planting site.
