Whangamata Real Estate WhangaWeek

In association with Whangamata Real Estate, the Whangamata Surf Life Saving Club - Whanga Week is a fun week of running, swimming, walking and an i-Float event in various locations around Whangamata.

Whangamata Real Estate Whanga Week was started by our club Patron, Richard Scelly Q.S.M 34 years ago in 1985 as a way to encourage families and friends to participate in outdoor events over the summer season and raise funds to help the club purchase the vital equipment needed to help protect the men, women and children who use the aquatic environment at Whangamata. All proceeds from these events goes to investing in new lifesaving equipment and training.

In the summer holiday period last year the Whangamata Surf Lifesaving Volunteer guards rescued 45 people and gave over 4,500 hours of their own time to keep people safe.
