Each year visitors and Artists from all over Northland come to take part in our vibrant two-day Easter Exhibition.

Artists show their work at a range of private and community locations spread along 30k of stunning Whangarei Heads coastline. This year the trail starts in Onerahi and ends at Ocean Beach. It is a fantastic opportunity to see an exciting range of work embracing a diverse collation of media, styles and prices.

This year's exhibitors include painters, potters, glass workers, jewellers, photographers, flax weavers, metal workers, wood workers, sculptors, textile and mosaic artists and each year new guests are invited to help ring the changes. W.H.A.T. is the perfect opportunity to buy work direct from the Artist, to see where it was created and talk to the person who created it.

Entry to all studios and community venues is free but to make the most of your visit please be sure to buy a $5 trail guide in advance and plan your day.

Guides will be available from early April in Whangarei iSite on SH1, The Hub in Whangarei Town Basin & Parua Bay Gas station. Guides will also be on sale during the event in any of the community venues. Every guide comes with a free raffle ticket. This year the prize is a fantastic $500 voucher to spend on any work made by Pete Brammer or Julie Cromwell who together form Studio 'Fire and Earth'.

If you have not been to visit Whangarei Heads the 'Arts Trail' weekend is a great time to do so. We have pristine white beaches, amazing coastal walks, great food and beautiful places to stay. If you are an Artist yourself why not contact us and ask about guest status.
