Please note: This class takes place every Thursday for four weeks, your registration is for all four weeks.
This class will give you the tools to understand the use of acrylic paints and design.
You will be:
- creating your own colour wheel, and experimenting with shades and tone
- learning to draw various flower shapes and developing a personal style
- understanding the use of design and layout in a painting
- creating a painting in acrylic on acrylic weight paper
- using the painted design as a draft for an acrylic on canvas painting
The outcome of the classes will be the start of a visual diary, a finished painting on paper, and a 20x20cm canvas block painting.
All materials will be provided, including a take away visual diary, and the paintings which you complete on paper and canvas block. There will also be suggestions for building a kit of your own drawing and acrylic.painting tools.
