Wild Basket Making tutor Anita Peters has a wealth of knowledge, commencing with traditional basket making techniques that can then be applied to materials of different qualities leading onto infinite sculptural and three dimensional possibilities.
Anita is a multi media artist, has a passion for using found and foraged materials to weave and sculpt baskets and other art forms, her creative energy is infectious; over this two day workshop you will not only learn traditional basket making methods but she will also encourage your own wild ideas to flow.
This workshop is held at the glorious historic location of Fairholme Galley in East Takaka on Sunday and Monday of Labour Weekend. As this is a small group workshop there are limited places. Go to the NZ Textile Experiences website Upcoming Workshops for further information and to enrol online.
