Open to an intimate group ready to adventure in the Wild Elements of one of the most exquisite landscapes on Earth. Sonia spends most days adventuring out in the mountains and hills while Tahlia grew up in the Deep South of NZ and even though she has travelled extensively, she has always felt the pull of this landscape here in Central Otago calling her back.

Sonia currently resides in Wanaka and Tahlia in nearby Arrowtown (the home of the Gold miners in the early 1800s) It's Lord of the Rings territory and is rugged terrain mixed in with breathtaking beauty.

Bio: Sonia Waters
Creator of Wildself, mother of two, lover of one, wild woman and adventurer at heart. From corporate success highs and deep dark holes, to life in the mountains and flowing rivers. I now offer myself to you as guide in your journey to your Wildself.

I started life in the tussock covered mountains of Lake Tekapo. As a family we moved, we lived like gypsies around the North Island in gold miners’ huts, caravans and houses. Childhood dreams and bare-footed freedom. Then somehow, along with the rest of the world, I was caught in the inherent turbulence of adulthood.

When a relationship ended in tears, I moved south, back to the high country; my turangawaewae. I am asked often “why did you move?” “for my love affair with tussock and rock”. And my work? I have an architecture degree, project manager, consultant to contractors to simplify construction. I am mother of two wild young women. Lover of one magical man and is an ISTA graduate

Bio: Tahlia Brand
Tahlia spent the early part of her life growing up on a sheep farm in the deep south of New Zealand. She was drawn to sing from an early age and pursued a career in Classical Voice for 20 plus years performing in the UK, Australia and New Zealand.

In her late twenties whilst in the UK, she became more deeply interested in Sound as a healing Modality and studied with different teachers and courses. She has trained in several different body therapies and is a trained Kahuna Massage Therapist and a Sexological Bodyworker/ Somatic Sex Educator. She holds a particular passion and interest in the connection between our throat and our sex and what happens as a result of vibrating these together.

Finally, in her own continued journey with how to show up in speaking and singing from an authentic place in the world, she draws on deep compassion and understanding of the courage and conviction it takes to journey in these places. With her own deep descent, and all the different trainings she has done she now has a large toolkit in which to draw on to hold this space for others.

Both Sonia and Tahlia have completed a 9 month Womb Apprenticeship with Janine Ma-Ree on the Red Earth in Australia.

Cost: $1197 NZD.
