Women in Trades NZ

Do you like problem solving?
Have you ever wondered if you can do a job that keeps you active?
Are you interested in how things are built? …come and investigate a trades career at the women in trades conference!

From the automotive to the construction industry, opportunities for a career in the trades have never been better. Despite the great benefits of joining a trade, women make up less than 5% of tradespeople. Women in Trades wants to change that and host events specifically for women interested in learning more about starting a career in the trades.

Find out more about:
The benefits of becoming an apprentice.
The different trades and their career pathways.
How to get started in your trade.
What scholarships and financial assistance there are for your study.

Event highlights:
Give different trades a go in live activities.
Meet industry employers and find out about the jobs and organisations available.
Hear directly from women working in different trades about the challenges and opportunities of a trades career.

An exciting and inspirational keynote speaker (keep an eye out for the announcement!)
Discussion by a panel of current apprentices, training advisors and employers about apprenticeships, training and career pathways.
