Managing & Explaining Chronic Pain Through Craft:

My daughter was born with bilateral congenial dislocation off her hips. On our journey of many years, multitudes of hospital admissions and surgery’s, hers was a journey into chronic pain, and how to deal with it.

Many years down the track she saw some of my quilt challenges and challenged us to use this format to explain her pain and my living with a daughter in pain.

We did nine pieces each and kept a diary. This was the start of her PHD research into using art and craft to cope and to illustrate how it feels.
