YWCA Whangarei and Protect are holding a Women's self-defence workshop on the 11th April from 1pm- 4:30pm.
The contents of this workshop are unique to Protect in New Zealand and provide participants' with real, functional skills to assist in identifying in avoiding violent situations, de-escalating aggressive situations, physically self defending against violent attacks if necessary as well as dealing with potential consequences and aftermath of real situations.
"Trigger Warning" Phil does use real life situations that may hit close to home for some people. Workshop is appropriate for ages 16 and above.
