Wonderland

Venture down the rabbit hole this summer at Te Papa’s immersive exhibition Wonderland. Lose yourself in the Hallway of Doors, take part in a digital Mad Hatter’s Tea Party and play at the Queen’s Croquet Ground.

Wonderland is the brand-new exhibition made in Melbourne by ACMI. It celebrates the rich screen history of English author Lewis Carroll’s timeless stories, and Alice’s adventures on film which have been the subject of more than 40 films and over 30 television programs.

The exhibition is an interactive experience which also charts the evolution of special effects from pre-cinema and silent films, to animation, puppetry, live action and computer-generated imagery.

Featuring over 300 enchanting objects, this exhibition will surprise and delight the whole family.
