Jana Grossmannova & Carlos Riegel are bringing together two ancestral forms of healing into one.
Yin Yoga and Sound Healing.

About Yin Yoga
Yin yoga poses apply moderate stress to the deep connective tissues of the body: the tendons, ligaments and deep fascia network, mainly working the lower part of the body - the hips, pelvis, inner thighs, lower spine. These areas are especially rich in connective tissues.

On an energetic level, Yin yoga improves energy flow and enhances the flow of chi in the organs and the practice also offers huge mental and emotional benefits.

- Calms and balances the mind and body
- Reduces stress and anxiety
- Improves flexibility
- Releases fascia and improves joint mobility
- Balances the internal organs and improves the flow of chi or prana

The yin poses are passive and performed while seated or in a reclining position. The poses are held with the muscles fully relaxed, allowing time and gravity to deepen the stretch. The time spent holding these asanas is similar to meditation.

About Sound Healing
Since the beginning of our time, sound healing has played an elemental role in our lives.
From deep rituals to simple lullabyes, music and sound has nurtured us in unique and magical ways throughout our history.

Multi - Instrumentalist Carlos Riegel weaves music as a tapestry of worldly sounds. In his playing he incorporates aboriginal and indigenous instruments such as Didgeridoo, Frame Drum, Native American Flutes, Taonga Puoro, with more modern and instruments such as classical guitar, clarinet, loop pedal.

Music as guided meditation provide a framework for the exploration of self. It guides us to where we need to go to, in order to see or feel what remains unseen. This process allows us to connect deeply with the source of what could be inflicting pain or trauma in our emotional or physical self. Thus providing a platform for reflection, relaxation and healing.

By combining Yin Yoga practice with Live Music we aim to journey deep into a meditative state of presence.

The yoga class will be followed by a guided music meditation performed Live by Carlos Riegel.
