Update: Cancelled due to virus...

10:32 is the new project from London-based kiwi artist, Bridget Walsh, featuring Lyle Barton on keys, Radovan Brtko on drums and Digby Lovatt on bass.

For fans of artists including Hiatus Kaiyote, Kimbra, Erykah Badu, Moonchild and more, 10:32’s booty-shaking soul-pop explores elements of hiphop, jazz, breakbeat, drum & bass, r&b and neo-soul, but isn’t afraid of a good old fashioned breakdown, or an epic synth solo. The band debuted at the Isle of Wight Festival in 2018, followed by a headline tour of New Zealand, along with studio sessions in the UK, NZ and the USA. 2019 was spent gigging and writing, with 10:32 set to start releasing tunes from their new EP in Spring 2020, recorded in January at London’s Total Refreshment Centre.

Bridget is originally from Aotearoa (NZ), and has been touring with UK bands since 2013, taking the stage at a number of iconic global venues and festivals, including Glastonbury, Boomtown, Sono Centrum, Latitude, Estragon Club, Subsonic and the Edinburgh Fringe. Lyle is a Guildhall Jazz grad, who’s playing with UK artists including Emma-Jean Thackray and Golden Mean. Radovan is originally from Slovakia, where he started touring with bands in his early teens, and Digby performs around the world with artists including James Vickery and Kelis.

Born in Ukraine and seeking refuge in New Zealand post-Chernobyl, Veronika Bell [who goes by the pseudonym VÏKÆ ] was introduced to the beauty of classical music from an early age. Veronika began studying the piano (Royal Schools ABRSM). Veronika attended ballet school and had already finished a drama programme before the age of 12. An inspiring opera singer, Veronika was enrolled in a Classical Performance programme at University.

However, she quickly became fed up with being put in a box, so switched to a Contemporary Performance programme in her 3rd year. Veronika obtained a Bachelor of Music (Contemporary Performance Voice) and a Diploma for Graduates in Music (Jazz) in 2016 from The University of Otago.

She became a resident vocalist of The Dunedin City Jazz Orchestra and began releasing her own music as well as managing her band VTMNK. The band released their own music and spent the majority of their time together gigging around the wider Dunedin area. Recently, Veronika has moved to Auckland to pursue a solo career in music. As a freelancing singer songwriter, Veronika now works as a recording artist and teaches privately in her home studio as well as being contracted to teach singing in schools.

Veronika's first two singles ‘Truth’ and ‘Rumours’ collectively have racked up 250k streams and with both of them landing in The Official NZ Music Chart's 'Top 20', 'Hot 20' and 'Ones to watch'. Her most recent single Liar clocked 20k streams in a week and was added to the ‘Hot 20’ as well. Veronika aims to release an EP at the end of April and has shows popping up all around New Zealand. It is certainly a very exciting time to watch this up and coming new artist find her footing in the NZ music scene.

'To cope with life', VÏKÆ's writing takes inspiration from personal experiences with mental health and battles with her physical health. With raw and honest lyrics, Veronika's aim is connect with listeners on a deeper level and to create a sonic relationship of mutual understanding and love.
