Looking for an out of this world school holiday programme? 3, 2, 1 Blast off is an educationally focused holiday programme where tamariki will create soda straw rockets, learning about the engineering and design process. They will be challenged to modify the design to see how the changes impact the rocket performance. There will also be an alternative rocket ship making, using craft supplies such as paper, card, cardboard tubes, and a chance to decorate your creation.
Your tamariki will also get the chance to explore our interactive exhibitions and see the planetarium show, Matariki Dawn, followed by a star talk learning about the stars, planets, and constellations that appear in the night sky above Wellington.
Suitable for ages 7 – 12. Bookings are essential. Tamariki should bring with them morning tea and a water bottle. Drop off is between 8:45am and 9:00am and pick up is between 11:30 and 11:45.
