Spend two hours immersing yourself in suffrage. The short history begins at He Tohu, National Library of New Zealand Te Puna Mātauranga o Aotearoa, with a guided viewing of the petition and an in-depth tour of the exhibition. We then walk to Wellington Museum passing markers of some influential women on the way and visit the Suffrage in Stitches Exhibition which has returned for the summer.
Following time in the exhibition, there is an opportunity for tea and biscuits and a chat over the teacups with people who have been involved in the project.
This walk is rated easy and accessible. Appropriate walking and weather gear advised.
