A special one-off concert, led by an exciting young international pianist.
Alex Ventling, is an exported jazz musician, back visiting New Zealand after having completed his Masters degree at the elite Jazzcampus in Switzerland. Teaming up with a selection of the finest musicians in the Auckland scene, music from the Great American Song Book and originals from jazz-greats will be their carpet for interaction.
If jazz is said to be like an exciting conversation amongst friends – this is how the quintet approach their improvising. As a whole group or in captivating smaller formations, one can expect beautiful melodies and grooving rhythms, in a night of high-quality jazz music.
