Understanding your motivation for becoming an angel investor and having an appreciation for the risk profile and mechanics of angel investment is all covered in this succinct 'awareness raising' course.
The workshop will be run by Suse Reynolds who has extensive experience as an angel investor both from managing her own portfolio and being an active leader in the NZ angel scene as Executive Director of the AANZ and on the Board of AngelHQ, Wellington’s angel network since she co-founded it 10 years ago.
The course will cover:
- the rewards and challenges of being an angel
- the legal requirements around eligibility
- the importance of building a portfolio and how to go about this
- the importance of being involved as an investor director
- the role of exits and
- where and how to access support
Speaker: Suse Reynolds, Executive Director, AANZ
Suse Reynolds is the co-founder of Angel HQ, the Wellington region’s angel network. She currently sits on the Board of Angel HQ and is an active leader in the NZ angel scene as Executive Director of the AANZ. She is an enthusiastic believer in the ability of angel investment to make the world a better place.
Suse was formerly the Chief Operating Officer and GM Investment at Grow Wellington. Suse is also on the Board of CreativeHQ, the Wellington region’s incubator and innovation catalyst and is the Chair of the Callaghan Stakeholder Advisory Group. She is an active angel investor.
