Angel of Music with Sophie McCarlie

A young woman's powerful sung-through journey of growth, self-belief and ultimate empowerment, featuring songs from Phantom of the Opera, Ghost, Little Women, In the Heights, Les Miserables, Wicked and Waitress.

Performed by Sophie McCarlie, lead actress and top soprano of New Zealand's Nelson Youth Theatre Company, Angel of Music takes us on a journey through darkness into light, to inspire and empower young women through the gift of song.

Sophie's acting credits include Cosette in Les Miserables, Molly in the New Zealand Premiere of Ghost the Musical, and Christine in Phantom of the Opera.

Under the tutelage of Tami Mansfield at Off-Broadway Performing Arts, Sophie gained Grade 8 with Distinction in Musical Theatre in 2019, while in 2018 she scored in the top 0.1 % of the world in Grade 7 Musical Theatre.
