Hear artist Lemi Ponifasio speak about MAU: House of Night and Day, and experience this major installation in Te Papa’s Toi Art galleries on its final day.

Lemi Ponifasio is an internationally acclaimed choreographer, director and designer. Born in Samoa and based in Auckland, he founded MAU, an international theatre and creative forum in 1995.

This year Lemi Ponifasio transformed Te Papa’s Toi Art into an immersive live stage that acknowledges over 30 years of MAU projects.

On the final day of this major installation, hear Ponifasio speak with Te Papa’s Curator Contemporary Art, Nina Tonga. They’ll discuss the installation, MAU: House of Night and Day, and Ponifasio’s vision and work, which crosses boundaries of ceremony, philosophy, culture, activism, and performance.
