Artistry: A Selection of Works by Wellington Women
Mitchell Studios brings together the work of 23 inspirational women artists from the Wellington region. Our artists are a diverse group of full-time and part-time artists, working in a broad range of media from painting in oil, acrylic & watercolour, through to experimental drawing, printmaking, mixed media collage and sculptural ceramics. The exhibition will showcase a wide range of styles from realism to abstraction - something to delight every viewer. The brief was simple: artists were invited to submit up to three works in any medium. Our goal: to fill the gallery with artwork by Wellington Women.
With works from Aimée McLeod, Anna Stitchbury, Annette Straugheir, Beth Honoré, Carol Theologo, Charlotte Hird, Debbie Jeffery, Denise Durkin, Fran Zukowski, Joanne Kreyl, Jill Alexander, Jill Sutton, Judith Maxim, Kylie Law, Lee Robinson, Lindsay Blakeley, Morag Stokes, Nikki Corbishley, Philippa Woods, Sam Walker, Sue Wickison, Tania Hussey and Vinny Thompson.
Supporting the Wellington Women's Refuge and the Wellington Māori Women’s Refuge Te Whare Rokiroki with a donation of a percentage of gallery profits.
