Baby Done - a feminist film night out

Announcing the Auckland Women's Centre next comedy film fundraiser!

When Zoe (Rose Matafeo) and Tim (Matthew Lewis) find out they are having a baby, they resolve to not let parenthood change them. Tim runs towards being a dad, while Zoe runs away from being a mum. Terrified that her life won’t be her own anymore, Zoe is still determined to tick off a list of their wildest dreams before the baby arrives. Zoe’s increasing denial about her impending birth pushes her, and her relationship, to the limit.

All proceeds go to the work of the Auckland Women's Centre, Te Wāhi Wāhine o Tāmaki Makaurau.

We’re so excited to announce that the creators of Baby Done Sophie Richmond and Curtis Vowell, writer and director are coming along for a Q and A session after the film. They’ll be happy to chat from 9 – 9.30 so bring along all of your questions for a great korero.

The bar will be open for drinks, snacks and mingling at 7pm, before we head upstairs to Cinema 1 at 7.20pm.

Baby Done will start at 7.30.

In terms of Health and Safety requirements for Level 1, we will have the QR code for contact tracing, hand sanitiser and please be kind and mindful of others. You are welcome to bring your own mask if you wish to do so. Please stay home if you are unwell.

After this event we will be closing our recent campaign of Donate A Kate, and will have donation buckets, but if you do not wish to bring cash, we will have a QR code which will link directly to our Givealittle page for contactless donations.
