The Auckland City Brass Band and Auckland City Brass Youth Band will be taking over our Band Rotunda for a pre-Christmas musical delight. Join us to wind down into holiday mode at Cornwall Park.

The Auckland Brass Band is a multi-cultural, multi-generational B grade band based in Three Kings, Auckland. Their history dates back to 1938 as the Balmoral Boys' Silver Band. At their heart they are a community band, with life-time members, university students, amateur musicians, semi-professional and professional musicians. 2019 saw the revitalisation of the Auckland City Brass Youth Band which currently has 16 regular members, ranging in age from 8 to 17 years old.

There will be brass band classics as well as festive tunes for all to enjoy. Bring a picnic, drinks, friends and whānau with you, and enjoy an evening of good company and good tunes.

Public transport, walking, cycling and carpooling is highly encouraged due to limited parking.

See you there!

The NZ COVID Tracer QR Code will be present at this event and all participants will be expected to scan the code. The code is also placed around the park, in public toilets and within Huia Lodge Discovery Hub. We ask that all participants continue with their basic hygiene practices while at the event and in the park. This includes hand hygiene (washing for 20 seconds, drying thoroughly or using hand sanitiser), coughing or sneezing into your elbow, and avoiding touching your face. Hand sanitiser will be available at the event. If you are feeling unwell before the event, we ask that you stay at home.
