Would you like to learn how to paint but not sure how to start? Are you afraid of being compared to others? Then this class is for you. This is a beginner’s art class where everyone starts on the same page.

Your tutor, Annie, will teach you the basics on how to start a painting and will guide you through until your painting is complete. Not everyone will create the same painting, which means you have ample opportunity to learn new skills as they are shown for each student in class. Annie teaches using acrylics onto canvas.

You will be given exercises to help develop your techniques shown in class. Painting is not something you learn overnight. For instance, it takes years to develop your own artistic style but we have to start somewhere! More so its the process that’s the most important aspect of this, that feeling you have when you are painting is quite relaxing and can also be healing.

This class runs throughout the year consistently and is a very casual art class. That means you can come along when you choose, Annie will always be there. Your creativity will open and start to flow.

Tea/Coffee and Biscuits are provided in class (feel free to bring your own refreshments).

This is a 2-hour block specially designed for you which starts from 7 pm until 9 pm in Mairehau/Shirley.

Bookings are essential as no more than 10 students per class. All materials are supplied. Each class includes all materials.
