September the 23rd is BI+ visibility day. The Stand Bi Us conference is a collaboration of Bi+ orgs all over Australia and New Zealand and the majority of their offerings will be online and free for us all to enjoy this year. If we have the luxury here in NZ we would love to celebrate by having a get together for all Bi/Pan+ people and friends.
In an ideal world, we will gather on Saturday afternoon for a quiet drink (coffee or beer) at Garnet Station. Have a chat about our post COVID lives, our favourite bicons and maybe even brainstorm for future meetups. No pressure, no big thing, friends and allies welcome.
What: Catch up to celebrate our fabulous BI/Pan + selves in a positive welcoming space.
Where: Garnet Station or via an online link that will appear here
What it’s not: This is a platonic event. Please feel free to let me know if anyone is making you feel uncomfortable either online or at in-person events. This is an inclusive event it is trans positive, POC friendly . There will be zero tolerance for gatekeeping or hate speech in this space. This is a celebration of our growing community please treat each other with respect.
Now, of course, we want to be responsible humans so if Auckland is still in lockdown or restricting meeting numbers we can go online. I have a couple of online games we could have a go at as an ice breaker, and we can share any of our fave queer content.
