Local branches of the National Council of Women, Zonta and Business and Professional Women are together hosting a breakfast for Hawke's Bay business people on the topic "Managing a Flexible Workforce'. The event will be held at the Hawkes Bay Business Hub on 20 March 2020.
The panel event will be moderated by Vicky Mee, chair of the NZ WEPs committee (Women's Empowerment Principles), an organisation which is working to support business performance in NZ workplaces by promoting holistic policies to empower women based on the framework of the seven United Nations’ WEPs principles.
This event will provide businesses who are considering offering flexible roles, or extending current practice, some guidance on how to manage their workforce and the changes in attitude and focus that are needed to make this successful.
Key issues:
• Managing for output, not time spent
• Meeting client/customer expectations
• Team dynamics
• Benefits from embracing flexibility for the business/organisation as well as individuals involved
Panellists from businesses that have implemented flexible work arrangements will share practical examples of policies and practices that have worked in their organisation and discuss how any barriers were overcome, and Dr Robbie Field from EIT will provide research-based advice on the benefits to business of flexible work practices.
Registration cost includes breakfast sponsored by the Bank of New Zealand
