Let’s Go Descarrego! - Acoustic Folk Punk Duo
Let’s Go Descarrego! is a pairing of two well-known musicians, Stewart Pedley and Leo Magri. Their vibrant music draws influence from the long traditions of folk storytelling, Rhythm & Blues, Brazilian percussion, and the New Orleans sound. In the energetic merging of voices, percussion and guitar, Let’s Go Descarrego! tell tales of intriguing incidents, crafty characters, and loves long lost, while feet tap and folks find themselves looking for the dancefloor.

They will be performing Not My Circus, Not My Monkeys and Cannibals.
Check out their Facebook page for more of their work.

Fabian Roberts - Soft Rock/Alternative Musician

He has been writing songs since he started his Bachelor of Media Arts - Commercial Music, which he completed with Post-Graduate Honours in 2013.

He has lived and worked as a music teacher in Rarotonga and now in New Zealand where he enjoys learning a new instrument every couple of years to increase his teaching scope.

Fabian is a wordsmith, in that he crafts his lyrics with skill and precision to find the right balance between lyrical and musical interest.

He is happily married with two beautiful young children. He will be performing original songs called Is That Enough For You, Nail in the Coffin and 8, 9, 10. Check out more of his work on iTunes, Spotify and Facebook.

Yvette Audain - Singer/Songwriter & Composer
Yvette is a multifarious musical person who is well known to many on the Peninsula as a performer, composer, arranger, teacher and ensemble facilitator. You will have seen her in Neighbouring Planets, the Mercury Bay Big Band and in her most recent outing as half of a jazz duo with guitarist Dave Mulholland. In this episode, you'll be catching a glimpse of who she is when she's at home.
She will be performing originals Chill, No Fairies on the Parade Ground and Somebody’s Shoulder featuring Dave Mulholland on guitar.

For more examples of her work check out her website and Facebook page.

Deborah Hide-Bayne - Cookbook/Lifestyle Author
British-born artist Deborah Hide-Bayne passed through the Coromandel expecting little more than happy holiday memories. Instead, she found a lifestyle that stopped her in her tracks. Some years later and she’s a local – married with a young son, an orchard at her door and a view of the bush-clad hills behind. Life revolves around the seasons, the weather and if the fish are biting.

Deborah has just published her second book, Coastal, Living the Coastal Life, Cooking for the Coastal Table, following on from the successful Coromandel Flavour, A Year of Cooking at the Bach.
The book is for sale at book stores and cafés around the Peninsula or via Deborah’s website. Deborah will be demonstrating one of her delicious recipes for us.

Bubble Bites is by locals, for locals, offering ‘bites’ of local talent free to you in your bubble.

Every week at 5:30pm, we’ll release a new episode on our YouTube Channel, a 30min show featuring performances by 3 local artists.
