A presentation of the entire Tibetan Buddhist path to awakening & the mind transformation that comes with it.

Discover what Buddhism is all about in a clear and structured way. We will be following the Lam Rim, the staircase of mind training to gain inner happiness, emotional balance, compassion and wisdom.

Meditation
The course will have a component of mindfulness meditations focused on the breath.

Weekly assignments
It will also include practical homework for the application of this knowledge in our daily activities.

Theory
We will be covering topics such as:
- What is the mind? ~ Mind training
- Cycle of life & death ~ Samsara
- Causes of suffering & causes of happiness ~ The 4 noble truths
- The altruistic mind of awakening ~ Bodhichitta
- Wisdom of interdependence ~ Emptiness

Your Teacher
Ven Thubten Khadro was born in Venezuela of European parents, emigrated to a New Zealand in 2004, and has lead courses/retreats in NZ, Australia, Colombia, India, Nepal and Germany. Her “international” background allows her to have an open, friendly and warm manner. She is currently studying an online Master Programme in Buddhist Philosophy, has done many solo retreats and for some months of the year lives in semi-retreat at Lawudo, a hermitage in the Himalayas, Nepal. She is a Buddhist Hospice/ Healthcare Chaplain, a FPMT registered teacher, and has served in various FPMT Centers.
