An introduction to bullet journaling as an organisational system, a notebook, and a journal. You’ll learn your own unique method of bullet journaling that works for your needs, and adapt the techniques you learn to suit your own style.

Bullet journaling is a way of using simple tools (from as little as a single notebook and a pen), to organise your entire life. Instead of having a weekly planner, a notebook for jotting down to-do lists, and a diary for writing down your thoughts, you’ll roll them all into one bullet journal. If you love goal-setting and to-do lists, but struggle to find a planner that you actually stick to, then bullet journaling may be the answer for you!

The system uses symbols, an index, and creativity to make future planning easy and fun. Your blank bullet journal is the foundation to create monthly spreads with goals, habit tracking, and important events, and weekly spreads that include your to-do lists, events, appointments, and other important information.

The philosophy of bullet journaling is to make the system work for you – there is no ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ way to set up and use your journal, it’s up to you to decide how to best design your journal. It can be as simple or as complex as you want.

This course will teach you design methods and techniques that you can take away and use in your own journal, and provide a fun place to create and practice bullet journaling.

Bring a notebook and pen - other materials required will be advised by the tutor.

By the end of the course, you’ll be able to:
- Feel confident and capable using your bullet journal
- Design a weekly spread for your weekly planning
- Apply different techniques to create a monthly spread that works for you
- Demonstrate the use of rapid logging and signifiers to speed up and simplify your planning
- Identify the bullet journal techniques that work for you, and the ones that don’t
- Use different materials in your journal to express creativity
