CANdid-50 Exhibition Opening

Come celebrate during this exciting gala opening night, on Friday 9 October, 5-7pm.

All Hawke’s Bay Artists have been invited to submit a work, in any media, for selection by the well respected and experienced Hawke’s Bay based selector Roy Dunningham. This opening will be the first look into the 50 selected work, displayed in the beautiful Main Gallery.

The Selector will be in attendance and will announce six ‘Highly Commended’ awards. A People’s Choice Award will be presented at the end of the exhibition, so come and cast your vote!

‘CANdid-50’ is a community art exhibition, which will be on display in October, during the Harcourt’s Hawke’s Bay Arts Festival! This selected exhibition of 50 works by 50 Hawke’s Bay Artists promises to be an exciting addition to all of the events and exhibitions on offer during this time.

CAN will host CANdid-50 over 3 weeks in October during the Harcourt’s Hawke’s Bay Arts Festival, including the exciting ‘Nuit Blanc; Art after Dark’ event on Saturday 17 October and during the Hawke’s Bay Art Trail weekend of 24 &25 October, which is Labour weekend.

Guest Selector Roy Dunningham will also be at CAN to give a floor talk about the selected works on Saturday 10 October at 11am.
