Northland Caledonian Pipe Major Bain McGregor has put together a great programme of Scottish and Celtic Music for the forthcoming concert ‘Celtic Harmony’ in Waipu. Bain is a world class piper, and a former resident piper at the National Piping Centre at Blair Castle, Scotland. He leads Northcal Pipe Band, based in Whangarei. The Band will be joined on stage by members of Waipu Pipe Band, providing a huge sound for numbers like ‘Highland Cathedral’.
An orchestral backing band will back the Pipe Band and other artists, providing depth and resonance. Tap your toes to Scottish and Irish dancers, Celtic Musicians, Singers Emma Couper & Alisa Dodds, Waipu Pipe Band, Highland Dancers and Keyboard Artist Andrew Garratt.
Celebrate your Celtic heritage with Celtic music and hang on to your seats when NorthCal Pipes Rock. It will be a great night, with a variety to suit all tastes, and is suitable for all ages.
