Light Shines Above EP Release Tour

Chris William is a singer-songwriter based out of Christchurch, New Zealand. As a trained jazz bassist, he builds his sound from the bassline up. A blend of acoustic and synthesised sounds rest on this foundation – moody synthesisers, manipulated strings, reversed piano, and even bird song.

He draws inspiration from landscapes – the Southern Alps, Mackenzie country and his slow-burning melodies evoke the awe of nature and being alone with your thoughts.

His second EP, Light Shines Above, is set for release on September 25th. It draws from soul, folk, and electronic influences to explore music in all its dimensions.

Chris is embarking on a nationwide tour, bringing his cinematic sound to the theatre of life.
