Michael Endres is a German born pianist now resident in North Canterbury. Michael has an extensive international career as a soloist and a chamber music partner, covering a wide repertoire. He also has a distinguished teaching career as Professor of Piano. Extensive accolades for his 29 albums include the prestigious Diapason d’or and the Choc du Musique. He is well known to Christchurch audiences.

Schoenberg ~ Six little piano pieces, Op .19;
Beethoven ~ Piano Sonata No. 23 in F minor Op. 57 “Appassionata”;
Beethoven/Liszt ~ Symphony No. 5 in C minor, Op 67.
Christopher’s Classics
The Christopher’s Classics programme, founded by Christopher Marshall, has become a mainstay of the Christchurch chamber music scene, showcasing some of New Zealand’s finest musicians. Following the 12 March concert, the 2020 series features the Tennant-Austin Duo (23 April), Vesa and Friends (9 July); New Zealand String Quartet (20 August), Aroha String Quartet with Robert Orr (oboe) (3 September), and Marmen Quartet (7 October).
