Zero Waste Network and Palmy’s Plastic Pollution Challenge have teamed up to bring you a Closing The Loop networking event to Palmerston North!

Come along on the 8th October to explore and understand all aspects of the circular economy, from design to recovery. You will enjoy the beautiful catering by Wholegrain Organics while getting to know other locals interested in learning about zero waste the circular economy.

We will be joined by three guest speakers who will share their experience of how they are contributing to creating a thriving circular economy in your local area and Aotearoa. Keep an eye out for the announcement of the speakers.

Closing The Loop creates opportunities in the local emerging circular economies by providing space for local practitioners, stakeholders and the public to network.

The circular economy is an alternative to throw-away thinking and our ‘make-use-dispose’ economic model. In a circular economy waste has been designed out of the system, no excess is produced and all resources are recovered. A circular economy is restorative and regenerative by design and recognises the intrinsic value of all living things and the ecosystems that sustain life. It creates strong, resilient and equitable communities where people have what they need to live happy and fulfilling lives.

Through the Closing The Loop events we are building connections between all parts of the supply, consumer and recovery chain. Join us to learn, share and connect with others on this journey.

All are welcome!
Limited spaces, so please RSVP.

This event is part of Palmy’s Plastic Pollution Challenge’s spring 2020 “Arohatia Te Kawau” event programme.
