Do you facilitate or teach a group of adult learners and need some guidance about how to structure your sessions? Look at the what, how and why of course planning and find out how to design and deliver a course to enable success for your learners.
Aimed at those who are beginning to teach adults this one-day workshop is an opportunity to explore: overall course design; how to structure and deliver learning content to maintain interest and enable success; how to assess learning has taken place and how to meet the specific learning needs of a range of learners.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll be able to:
- Articulate, deliver and evaluate against achievable learning outcomes
- Structure your learning content to enable success for your learners
- Identify and apply ways to be inclusive of a range of learners in your teaching/learning context i.e. culture, learning styles, pace of learning, range of literacy/numeracy levels
Bring lunch and pen and paper, some starting ideas about a course you have in mind and a way of capturing your planning throughout the day (e.g a notebook and pen, your laptop, an audio device, your cellphone - whatever works for you as a quick way of noting your ideas).
