Enjoy one, two, three or four of the fabulously free documentaries showing as part of our first-ever documentary festival.

The final documentary we will be showing is Fame High.

From the nail-biting freshman auditions to the spectacular year-end performances, Fame High captures the in-class and at-home drama, competition, heartbreak, and triumph during one school year at the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts (LACHSA) where talented teenagers reach for their dreams of becoming actors, singers, dancers, and musicians.

Fame High was nominated for Best Documentary Feature at the Tribeca Film Festival.

"Fame High, understands Alan Parker's vision (in the) excellent 1980 movie 'Fame' of rejection, hard work and self-discovery -- and depicts it with clear eyes. 'Fame High' opens our hearts and entertains with the truth!" - David DeWitt, The New York Times

"Fame may be fleeting, but the kids in Fame High will stay with you." -Kenneth Turan, The Los Angeles Times

Phone Richmond Library 543 8500 to book your spot or talk to a library staff member.
