Think Talk: Reforming the Criminal Justice System
Tuesday 1 September 2020 7:30 - 8:30 PM

The presentation will look at changes that have occurred or are occurring in the New Zealand criminal justice system in response to the rising prison population; and the challenges presented by substance abuse, especially methamphetamine. I will suggest that radical changes in the criminal justice system are necessary in order to deal with the changing nature of crime, and to provide better support for both victims of crime and vulnerable criminal offenders.
