In conjunction with Auckland's Poetry Live, Lasavia Publishing invites you join us for the launch of Mike Johnson's newest novel, "Driftdead".
At the end of the world, Keatown is already struggling for existence. Then come the driftdead! Dead like zombies, but with no interest in eating human flesh, and driven by a force beyond hunger.
"Driftdead" unfolds like a dream, several dreams, as each character has their own sense of what the driftdead are. A beautiful and haunting tale that somehow leads us back to the dilemmas of the modern world.
Join local writer Mike Johnson for the official Auckland launch of his newest and most riveting novel yet. This is a free event open to the public and all are welcome! Come grab a drink, discover a new novel, and meet other local writers and readers.
This event is in collaboration with Poetry Live. After the launch, we encourage everyone to stick around for some fabulous poetry from local writers!
The night's events will include:
- A talk from Massey University Press' Olive Owens
- A word from author Mike Johnson
- The opportunity for a Q & A and further conversation with Mike
- Poetry Live
